Why Give?

ALALA Charity is leading a transformative project in Tanzania's Maasai community, with support from Emaya Pure Life's "Sip for Sustainability" funding initiative. This collaboration aims to address the critical need for clean water access, a fundamental requirement for health and well-being. The project goes beyond providing safe drinking water by introducing sustainable agroforestry practices, including Moringa cultivation. By partnering with Emaya Pure Life, the initiative creates a sustainable economic cycle that benefits both the community and the environment.

•Build a water tank for clean, reliable water access, significantly minimising the time communities spend searching for water and carrying it.

• Introduce Moringa cultivation using agroforestry methods for nutrition and income.

• Respect and preserve Maasai cultural heritage and traditional practices by supporting them to thrive in remote areas.

• Establish a fair trade partnership with Emaya Pure Life, providing high quality unadultarated pure pesticide-free ingredients for our customers to enjoy.

• Create a self-sustaining model for community development.

  • Other than the usual transaction fees 100% goes towards the Sip For Sustainability Fund which is funding The Water For Life Project as well as the Agro Forestry Project to ensure a sustainable future for the Maasai.

  • The project aim is to begin in February 2024 once all funding is available to complete the project. With your donations we can do this!

  • When you purchase an Emaya Pure Life product, we donate a portion of the proceeds towards our Sip For Sustainability fund:

    • 20p is donated for each small chai pack sold

    • 60p is donated for each large chai pack sold

    We invite you to give more if you feel inspired by the projects.

    This initiative supports the provision of clean water as well as agroforestry projects that benefit both the environment and local communities. By using sustainable farming methods that respect cultural traditions, Emaya is able to source high-quality, pure ingredients directly from Maasai farmers at fair trade prices. This creates a self-sustaining economic model that allows the Maasai to maintain their traditional way of life in remote areas while providing Emaya with premium ingredients for their products
